History of development.
In 2007 we bought 70 acres of Tourist-Commercial land. The land used to be an well known Nien-Mar Camp ground with numerous seasonal trailer sites, but campground business been terminated by the owner about year 2005.
In 2008 we started development and built first cottages in 2009.
In 2010 we severed the property into 3 parcels:
- 10 acres of land with 2000 feet of waterfront for the cottage resort, cabin resort and cafe – this project is completed, and we now have a profitable cottage resort (Goldenville, including 7 cottages in 8 acres, business started 2011),a start-up cabin resort and cafe (EcoVillage at 2 acres: project completed 2013)
- 10 acres of land with about 300 feet of waterfront for the residential home. The residential home is about 100 years old, and, despite the many renovations I’ve made, remains a distinctive period property.
- 45 acres of land with about 1000 feet of waterfront for the fishing village (or possibly new residential development). We have not started either development yet however.
